Murphy`s Tavern & Restaurant in Greenwood Lake

Well started out good with a great gin and tonic, on the second it was weaker but ok.... the third was mostly water and tonic.... the fourth was water... i watched bar tender pour water in drink... the fifth i switch to beer in a bottle.... no cheating me... bar tender noticed i caught him watering my drinks didn't even charge me me....thats the saving grace....

Never answered the phone when we called, when we went the service and atmosphere was terrible. 10 out of 10 would not recommend for anyone. Worst place ever

Nothing but enjoyable experiences here. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I liked to visit.

Good bar. Idk who dropped coke in the bathroom. But I flushed it lmao

Great local hangout!

Good vibe and good bar, but their archaic point of sale system makes the bar move so slow. Never leave a tab open here. They haven't updated since WiFi was invented.

Probably one of the more fun bars that I've been to on the island but can be very crowded

Was excited to see what this place had to offer, got to the door and an older woman was walking out and told us it was smokey in there. So unfortunately we took a hard pass on this place even tho it looks incredibly interesting from the outside.

Old school classic dive bar. A must visit during ga/FL weekend.

A real bar. Not a restaurant. One of the few places where you can smoke inside. If you don't smoke (like me) it's not too bad. Pool tables, darts & bands on the weekend. Fun place to finish your vacation day.

Good place to get a beer and play some pool or darts, I just can't love the place because I used to smoke, but don't anymore, and you can smoke in there, I just don't like smelling like an ashtray on my way home. Still though, cool place, nice place to just hangout.

It's a cool place but it is not really a dive. It's a bohemian bar in a dive's clothing. Classic rock plays but majority of the patrol s are millennials.

Great little bar to relax at and play some pool ,watch sports, or play darts. Music is cool but bartender is cooler (Aaron). From a Davenport, Iowa bar owner ( The Gardens) I love it! But not as much as I love my girl Brigitte! By the way, they are open until 2:00 AM

Trendy hipster type people on Monday night's. All I know as of now. Bar keep gave well ooze instead of real deal.

Happened to stumble in here during a local potluck event. The amount of generosity as a traveler they showed me was overwhelming. Fireplace, old wood aesthetics and fast cheap drinks. If you're visiting town and want to avoid the tourist traps, this is it.

I went to this place on Saturday night and one of the bartenders, the one with a ponytail and glasses didn't even want to serve me and the other one served me 3 beers 2 shots and cut me off without warning or me doing anything wrong... I paid for the things because i thought we were leaving, then i asked for another beer and i got told i was cut off from ever drinking there...

Murphy's is one of the must stop places on the island. A really great atmosphere with good people. Closest thing you'll get to a "pub" on SSI! Stop in and check out out.

Very chill place. An extremely laid back cover with pool tables, darts, and a full bar Music is old school and environment is exactly what we wanted, the polar opposite of a hip-hop club!

Probably the most authentic dive bar ever. But friendly bartenders and nice folks. Great place to shoot pool. You have got to walk in this place. Very cool.

Mostly a local haunt. Service was fine. Drinks cold. Small bathrooms. Men's bathroom did not have a door.

Local, dive bar, with all the trimmins', small, packed, loud band, smoky and a pool table where it should be, right in the middle! Loved it! Really busy but the bartenders are on top of it and didnt wait long at all to get drinks. All the staff -- besides the door guy who was talking to a girl so checking your ID was too distracting -- were all great.Unless you were just flat out inconsiderate of others, no one had a problem w anything. It was a fun night out. If I visit the area again, I'd definitely be back.(Hope it worked out for ya ID-checker, door guy!)

Great atmosphere. Talked about history of the island. Reasonably priced drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed the place.
